Engineer, install, troubleshoot and maintain a high-capacity data network in
Southern California that is primarily comprised of point-to-point microwave
links, and includes WAN fiber and LAN Ethernet. My duties range from
engineering the IP backbone using primarily OSPF and BGPv4, to installing and
maintaining high-capacity microwave and millimeter-wave equipment to
support the IP infrastructure. Work with upstream Internet service providers to
peer our network with tier-1 global networks. Maintain wireless
telecommunications facilities including towers, equipment enclosures, power
distribution, generators, and solar arrays. While goal #1 is always more 9's of
uptime, I am known find innovative ways to improve capacity and quality-of-
service.

programmer and network administrator. Wrote applications per current project
requirements (Java, C, PHP), installed and maintained servers (*NIX and
Microsoft), LAN and WAN network equipment and telephone equipment.

Managed projects for a wireless Internet service provider (WISP) in Southern
California. Duties included designing, installing and maintaining microwave
point-to-point and point-to-multipoint radio-based wide-area networks.
Established, built and maintained telecommunications and wireless (tower)
facilities. Helped develop many technologies in the industry that are still in use
by WISPs today.
